In a series of 7 events aimed at fifth-graders, we showed the fun side of chess alongside its benefits. Each class included an explanation of the pawn's movements for beginners, with dynamic examples of thinking ahead about counter movements and stalemate. There was also an introduction to chess clocks. To solidify the knowledge, the kids played a fun minigame called Pawn Race, in which the first to promote wins! They were divided into four teams and played a small tournament against other groups. It was a delightful experience to foster logical thinking, teamwork, time management, and chess!
