Promoting Queens Collaboration

We partnered with Promoting Queens to help bring chess to women and girls in Africa.

Classes are led by Anika, who is the head of 64 Squares and represented the United States in many international tournaments.

But what makes these classes truly special? Every lesson goes beyond the board:

  • 👑 You'll learn powerful chess skills
  • 👑 You'll discover how to apply those same strategies in real life, building confidence, focus, and resilience.

This is more than chess. It's a supportive space for girls and women of all ages to learn, grow, and be empowered together.

Real Life Application

A fork achieves two or more actions at once. When is one time you have achieved two or more goals at once?

A pin limits a piece from doing other things. What is an activity that you that takes up a lot of your time and limits you from doing other things?

A skewer causes the opponent to be in a dilemma where any move is bad. Can you think of a time when every option had a downside but you had to choose the least bad option?

A discovered attack is a simple move that has powerful opportunity. What is one, small positive action that you can take this week that may open up an unexpected opportunity for you in the future?
